International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM)

The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) is an event of unique significance to the mathematical community around the world. It is held once every four years. The venue for the Congress is chosen, from the bids received for it, by the International Mathematical Union.

ICM 2022:

NBHM will support an Indian contingent to the ICM 2022 to be held in Saint Petersburg, Russia during 6 - 14 July, 2022, and invites applications from members of the Indian Institutes and Universities for selection to the contingent. ICM 2010:

The Board spearheaded and succeded in the bid to hold the next International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) in India. India won the bid for holding the ICM in 2010. This was the first time the event was to happen in India, and only the third time in Asia (after Kyoto - 1990 and Beijing - 2002). With the concurrence of IMU it was decided to hold ICM 2010 at Hyderabad during the period 19th to 27th August, 2010. This congress was held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC).
